Reception Hall (6) You are in a large room in the larger sphere of the starbase. A dense green carpet has been laid over the metal deck and holographic projectors enliven the walls with rich natural scenes from many worlds. Steady amidst the shifting holos are images of banners: the Rihannsu Tricameron, the United Federation of Planets starfield, and banners depicting the emblems of major planets in the Romulan Star Empire. Large windows in one wall give a view of space. There are tables and comfortable chairs around the room and a podium emblazoned with the blue and green Bird of Prey stands at the front. An abstract sculpture partly hides the holophonic control panel set into one of the walls. You may examine the holos, windows, sculpture or panel by typing the word, e.g. holos. The room is embedded in an amber glow, denoting that the base is on yellow alert. Pwyll steps out through the Corridor door. Pwyll has left. Sivok sits in his seat and looks towards the Fvillha. Zirtek bows to the Fvillha. "Jolan'tru." The door slides closed. Jones looks puzzled "oh, i know, your tr'Vbaen You strike the stone. Velvok says "You will not speak, Iloann'na." The door slides open. Jones turns back to Velvok "remember, we met when you came to the federation starbase on a diplomatic mission Pwyll says "Lieutenant Jimmy Jones of the FSS North Star you stand here accused of crimes against the Rihannsu Star Empire" Sivok looks towards the Human. Sivok takes aim at Jones. Sivok says "Quiet." Pwyll glares at Jones. Jones acks and closes his mouth Pwyll says "Charges of Williful destruction of Rihannsu Property" Pwyll says "and Attempted Murder in the Second Degree." Zirtek sits down on a chair and listens quietly with interest. Jones turns to Pwyll as he states his charges Sivok keeps his eye on the Human. Pwyll says "Ensign Joshua Flemnos Prescott, formally of the FSS North Star you stand here accused of crimes against the Rihannsu Star Empire....." Zirtek watches Jones intently. Jones says "he's name isnt really prescott" Pwyll says "of willful destruction of Rihannsu Property and attempted murder in the second degree." You strike the stone. Sivok says "Human, quieten up." Jones says "its Jeffry Flemnos" Velvok says "Silence!" Sivok speaks with obvious anger. Jones sighs Pwyll turns to face the tribunal. Aidoann whispers something to Sivok. Human2 looks around. Pwyll says "Furthermore, these two stand accused of series crimes against the United Federation of Planets...." Sivok whispers something to Aidoann. Jones motions for Prescott to be quiet Human2 glances around the room and nods to Jones, keeping his mouth shut. Jones raises his hand Aidoann whispers something to Sivok. Pwyll says "I hereby charge the tribunal of considering all evidence against the llonna'mhrahel here and to let the elements be your guide." Pwyll says "Lieutenant Jimmy Jones of the FSS Sivok glares at the Humans. Jones sighs and drops his hand Human2 keeps his hand raised and shakes it slightly. Zirtek looks at the two humans intently. I am also the sovereign judge of this Tribunal. You will be silent as I describe how this trial will proceed." Jones glances to Prescott nervously "um...." Sivok whispers something to Aidoann. Jones listens to Velvok Human2 puts down his right hand and raises his left. Velvok says "Lower your hand or I will have it removed, Iloann'na." Jones nudges prescot and says very quietly "stop" Jones says "thats an order, Ensign" l prescott He stands nearly six feet tall and appears to be in his teens. He wears his dark brown hair a little shaggy, so that it hangs down to brush the tops of his ears. His eyes are mis-matched, the right being blue and the left brown. His boyish face is cleanshaven and has a sort of youthful glow. He wears a grey three-piece Yves St. Laurents suit, or rather, what was a three piece suit. He wears the grey pants adn a dark-green dress shirt with teh sleeves shoved up just above his elbows. He wears a multicolored, earthtone, silk Armani tie. His shoes are tan loafers. His whole outfit looks classy, yet his demeanor makes it seem casual at the same time. On his right ring finger he wears a gold signet ring. Sivok looks towards the Human. Jones turns his attention from Prescott back to the Fvillha Velvok says "Rihannsu law presumes that one is guilty until proven innocent, Jh'ones." Jones nods and sighs "aye" Jones stands looking at Velvok as he puts his scarred hadns behind his back You notice Prescott looking up at the holos. Pwyll whispers something to Human2. Human2 whispers something to Pwyll. Velvok says "On queue, you will make a confession ... a complete confession ... of your actions to the tribunal. Then, your partner will do the same. Do you understand?" Jones nods "aye" Human2 nods. Aidoann whispers something to Sivok. Pwyll whispers something to Human2. Velvok says "This tribunal consists of myself, the honorable Riov t'Khnialmnae, and the honorable Enriov tr'Vaebn." Human2 whispers something to Pwyll. Sivok whispers something to Aidoann. Jones nods Velvok says "Your sentence will be carried out immediately after the Tribunal has discussed your fate and passed judgement." Human2 nods. Velvok says "Do you have any questions?" Jones nods Human2 shakes his head. "Nope.. it all seems pretty cut and dry." Velvok points to Jones. "Ask your questions." Zirtek continues to watch with growing interest. Jones takes a breath "does this tribunal have the right to charge us on Federation matters?" Pwyll says "Shall I answer Fvillah?" Velvok nods to tr'Khnialmnae. Pwyll says "This tribunal has the right to charge you with whatever it chooses." Jones sighs and nods Velvok says "Any further questions before you begin with your confession?" Jones shakes his head slightly as he returns his gaze to the tribunal Pwyll says "Since the actions of you and your compatriots has possibly inrevokely damage relations between the Rihannsu Star Empire and the lloann'mhrahel...the tribunal may take into consideration the charges facing you the lloann'mhrahel as a sign of good will." Pwyll says "Furthermore, depending on your good behavior during this trial, the tribunal may or may not take the matters into account." Jones nods slightly Velvok regards the Tribunal. "t'Khnialmnae? tr'Vaebn? Do you have anything to add?" Sivok nods. Sivok stands and rests his rifle on its shoulder strap. Sivok says "These two have caused a large amount of grief and I am glad to see them here on trial." Sivok smiles and sits. Velvok glances at t'Khnialmnae. Velvok says "Very well. Jh'ones, you may begin your confession. Take care that you leave nothing out, and that you do not lie. Seat yourself when you are through." Jones nods and takes a breath Jones says "well, the first thing i did was wake up. then I was going to Proceed to the Customs lobby on Starbase 1 to check my mail." Jones continues...... Jones says "" Jones says "I never got to the mail terminal, I saw Mr Prescott in the docking hub and we started talking...." Jones says "a few minutes later we were approached by a man i had never seen. He told us that we would help him steal a ship, the excelsior to be exact. When we refused, he threatened to kill my father, who is one of my last realatives and whom i love very much" Aidoann's eyes suddenly widen, and then narrow, a flash of inspiriation registering. Sivok looks with a blank face towards the Human. Jones says "he instructed us to proceed aboard one of your ships and he told us to open a door when we came to one that was locked and he led me into your cargo bat where he had me remove some anitmatter, dilithium and some fuel." Pwyll frowns eyes narrowing. Jones says "we then went to engineering, i believe he wanted to steal your cloakinf devise, but he could not burn through the lock, the same was true with the armory" Aidoann looks as if that answered several big questions. Sivok frowns slightly. Zirtek listens. Aidoann whispers something to Sivok. Sivok whispers something to Aidoann. Whatt has arrived. Whatt looks around the room Sivok nods to tr'Rulahna. Jones says "then we proceeded out of the ship. When we came out of the ship, there was an Sb1 personell there. His name is Maverick, he is and Ensign , i believe, anyhow, our oppressor told me to stop this man, i obeyed and changed the setting of my weapon so that i would not kill him, as i aimed my phaser, Maverick ran out and sounded the red alarm." Whatt walks towards the back and takes a seat Jones says "this is where it got hectic, i dont remember much." Jones says "i followed Maverick into the turbolift, where i saw and Ensign Pierce and two Rihannsu. I went to deck 1 , where the command center is because i thought maverick migth have gone there, i did not find him, so i went to deck 2" Aidoann says "One moment, who is your father?" Jones says "his name is Randal Keith Jones" Sivok nods to himself. Aidoann says "And does he hold a post of some importance?" S'Dok sidles into the room Jones nods "ok, deck 2" Jones says "there i contacted teh man as he had told me to...he told me to proceed to the Northstar, when i refused, hge threatened my father once more and i obeyed" S'Dok walks quietly over to the Enriov S'Dok whispers something to Sivok. Jones says "Precott was there when i arrived and this man ordered me to open teh door to our cargo bay and take whatever fuel was there, i think the rihannsu are still in posession of that FMM fuel by the way, i would like it returned if i do not get to do uit myself" Jones says "the man ordered us to take the Northstar but we could not as the docking bay doors were closed." Sivok whispers something to S'Dok. S'Dok whispers something to Sivok. Jones says "he then took us to a shuttle, and ordered us to board it and set course for nimbus" Sivok whispers something to S'Dok. Aidoann whispers something to S'Dok. Jones says "we started to nimbus and along the way, one of your ships undocked and started chasing us, the man ordered us to continue on ...we did" S'Dok whispers something to Aidoann. I suppose you'll want some clarificatio nwhen I get to the blackmail part, so I suppose I'll go ahead and tell of the side of my life that haunts me in the darkest of night, waking me from my slumber filled with horrid nightmares. After high school I was involved with a sinister group, almost a terrorist organization, known as EMI. They started out as one of Earth's most clean, pure organizations, but then the corrupt minds that led it turned it into a figurehead of evil. I've already paid for my actions while in EMI, so I'd rather leave that all behind me. In fact, I had almost left it all behind me when I donned this new moniker. However I was wrong." Human4 says "An old 'friend', Jamie, tracked me down and revealed to me that he knew of my EMI involvement and threatened not only to tell everyone I was close to this information, ruining my career, and he threatened to hurt people who were close to me. I was told of the plans to steal the FSS Neon, the ship I was trained on after leavign EMi behind and joining the FMM. I was reluctant at first, but after talking to Dr. Fernandez about it, I decided to go along to ensure the safety of the ship and to ensure its safe return. When the plans changed to take the NorthStar, I stayed on to protect her as she was the FMM's only active ship." Zirtek notices the chains of whispering. S'Dok whispers something to Whatt. Aidoann makes a bored noise. "The details of your life are of little interest to this court. Please refrain from making comments external to the facts of this case." Sivok smiles to the Riov. Jones whispers something to Human4. Human4 says "Then, when the day fo the 'operation' finally came and I was notified that we'd be taking the Excelsior, a StarFleet ship, it was too late to back out, which I would have if I'd had the chance. Anyway.. Jamie led Jones aroudn as they went through and took the antimatter and what-not from the rihannsu ships.. my leg was giving me troubles, so I was a bit behind them. They finished doing what they were doing in the ship, and came back out and led me off elsewhere." Human4 says "They took the antimatter from the FMM ship, the NorthStar, and then realized that the docking bay doors were closed, rendering our departure impossible." Velvok nods. Human4 says "the only craft available was the shuttlecraft Polaris, being that it had been taken off the shi pfo refueling adn a quick tune-up earlier. It was in the shuttlebay on STarBase1, so Jamie decided that we shoudl take it. He decided that after trying to blast his way into the control center of StarBase1 to try to open the bay doors. We couldn't get in there, so we doubled back and took the shuttlecraft." Human4 says "somewhere in there, Pierce, a StarFleet officer, was killed.. I wasn't there when he was killed, onyl there to see the body lying on the floor and Jamie pick it up and carry it with him." Human4 says "we got in the shuttlecraft, adn Jamie fueled her up..." S'Dok nods to himself as if that was something he had forgotten Human4 says "We then proceeded to launch and head for Nimbus, following the uhmm.. what is it.. that that.. the transport to Nimbus that replaced the Dove. Anyway, we followed her halfway to Nimbus, then noticed the ship 'following' us." Whatt whispers something to S'Dok. Human4 says "under the belief that the ship was indeed followign us, we headed for Remulak to lan dthere and wait out the ships.." S'Dok whispers "that is incorrect..they never even made it to remulak, let alone halfway to nimbus" Human4 says "then, after noticing that the ship in question had dropped off, someone realized that if a ship came out of the starbase, that meant that a ship sould be able to get out." Human4 says "SO we doubled bakc and headed for the StarBase... after that we spent the next several minutes flip-flopping bakc and forth, trying to make up Jamie's mind about where we should go." Whatt quietly stands and slips over to the door Human4 says "Eventually, we were caught up to be the orio ship that came form out of nowhere... and the Llaudh." Aidoann says "What is Jamie's Full identity?" S'Dok whispers "I also did not see them change course frin the time we left the starbase until after we had begun firing on them" Aidoann says "And what Orion ship?" Human4 says "Uhmm.. Jamie McSky.. or McCoy.. or Mc-Something.. I'm not sure." Human4 says "I was only told his last name once or twice... always knew him as just Jamie." Human4 says "and the orion ship was the Marauder.. Or somethign like that. I dont' recall teh name." Aidoann says "I don't suppose you got an scans of the vessel?" Aidoann whispers something to S'Dok. S'Dok whispers something to Aidoann. Human4 shakes his head. "no.. they scanned us quite a few times however." Aidoann whispers something to S'Dok. Jones oocly returns and apologizes S'Dok whispers something to Aidoann. Human4 glances around, wondering if he shoudl continue. Human4 says "You want me to go on?" Jones sits with his hands tucked into his armpits, hoping no one can see them S'Dok whispers something to Aidoann. S'Dok whispers something to Aidoann. Human4 shrugs adn continues, "Anyway.. after that it was a bit unclear.. we were shot at.. then the next thing we knew, there was no shuttlecraft.. we were on the Llaudh, and Jamie was gone. Aidoann scowls. Aidoann whispers something to S'Dok. Aidoann says "Where was the shuttle when you were fired upon?" S'Dok whispers something to Aidoann. Aidoann says "were you in Federation space or Nimbus space or Unclaimed territory?" Human4 says "It was between the starbase and Remulak." Human4 says "As far as I know we were still in federation space... I wasn't really looking at a map or anything at the time.. more concerned with gettign myself and teh shuttle to stay in one piece." Aidoann whispers something to S'Dok. S'Dok whispers something to Aidoann. Pwyll crosses his arms across his chest and stares off into space as he listens to the testimony. Aidoann whispers something to S'Dok. Zirtek continues to listen with decreasing interest. S'Dok whispers something to Aidoann. Human4 frowns slightly. "Am I done?" The door slides open. Jones shakes his head slightly Human4 says "Uhmm.. no.. I don't guess so." S'Dok glances towards the door. Zirtek looks towards the door, then turns back. Human4 takes his seat. Velvok stands. S'Dok glances curiously at Jones Human4 looks up at Velvok. Velvok says "This is a trial by our people against the Iloann'na in this room. By tradition, any Rihanha in this room that wishes to add something may. One at a time." Human4 looks aroudn the room at the faces of the rihanha. Zirtek OOCly should be doing something else, but isn't. Aidoann remains silent. Zirtek thinks for a moment. Zirtek remains silent. S'Dok says "I have nothing to add past my official report" Human4 whispers something to Jones. Velvok says "Very well." You strike the stone. Jones whispers something to Human4. Velvok says "The Tribunal will retire to another room to pass judgement. We will be back very soon to announce it to you." -- The Tribunal deliberates and returns to pronounce judgement. -- S'Dok looks up Sivok steps in through the open door. Sivok has arrived. Human6 walks over and takes his former seat. The door slides closed. Velvok resumes his seat. Jones looks to the door and sighs as the group enter Zirtek looks up. You strike the stone. You strike the stone. S'Dok whispers "Prescott was being annoying, I was just about to shoot him" You strike the stone. Pwyll reholsters his pistol at glares at the lloan'na. Zirtek sits back down and looks to the tribunal. Sivok walks over and stands near Prescott. Velvok stands. Human6 looks around. S'Dok continues to stand guarding the lloan'na Velvok says "Iloann'na, this Tribunal has reached a decision." Human6 smiles and nods a greeting ot ROmulan12. Velvok says "Your are lucky:" Jones raises and eyebrow Human6 casually grins at Velvok. Aidoann smiles a creul smile. S'Dok changes the setting of his weapon. Velvok says "We act with mercy and provide you your lives. You will not be killed or tortured until death." Sivok looks to the Human beside him and grins. Jones sighs in releif Human6 is taken a bit off-guard by the rihannha's smile. Velvok says "Instead," Jones looks around at allthe eiree smiles Human6 turns to his head and grins from ear to ear at Romulan12. Jones turns back to the Fvillha and furrows his brow Whatt whispers something to Zirtek. Sivok's smile deepens. Velvok says "you will be given political assylum from the Federation. You will serve out the rest of your days as servants to the Rihannsu people. You will need to learn our ways completely. Do you understand?" Human6 scoots his chair over away form Romulan12. Human6 says "But.. but..." Jones sighs and shakes his head "aye" Zirtek whispers something to Whatt. Human6 says "now hold on there just a minute... what if I -want- to be turned over to teh federation?" Jones looks to jeff then down at the floor, shaking his head Sivok says "What you wish is not of our concern, Human." Human6 says "not tha tI don't appreciate all the hospitality I've been shown.. but I mean, hey." Human6 grimaces slightly adn hushes. Velvok says "You have a question, Prescott? You could, of course, waive your assylum and face the Iloann'na charges against you. I do not believe that they will be as forgiving as we have been. In fact, I know that they will not." Jones simply stares at the floor, a distrought expression on his face "we can never return to to the federtion? Aidoann *nearly* giggles at that. Sivok walks up to Prescott and takes his hand, placing it on the table. Velvok says "That is correct, Jones. But you will be allowed to live as Rihannsu slaves. A merciful sentence." Human6 looks thoughtful for a second. "So.. our options are to either face the music here nad be servants to teh rihannsu, or go back to the federation. Human6 loosk to Romulan12. "Hey.. careful with that.. that's teh only one I've got left." Sivok looks to the Fvillha, drawing his dagger from its sheath. Velvok says "I hope that you make the right decision." Velvok says "Enriov, proceed to remove the Iloann'na's left hand." Jones looks to prescott and Sivok S'Dok says "The human has one prosthetic hand" Sivok raises his arm with the dagger in it, and chops down against the Human's wrist. Jones winces adn jumps in his seat Sivok watches the wrist fall off of the table. Jones stands suddenly Velvok says "Your left hand has been removed." Human6 frowns a bit. "That's not a very good feeling." Velvok says "Be seated, Jones." Jones sighs as he realizes it was oly Jeff's prosthetic asn sits down Sivok walks around the table and picks up the bloody hand. Sivok looks at the red blood with a peculiar expression on his face. Jones says "i think he would have been a better worker with that" Human6 glances down at the hand. Jones says "the hand i mean" Velvok says "Do not despair, Iloann'na." Human6 looks down at the hand. "Uhmm..." Sivok sheaths his dagger, blood still staining it. Human6 says "gee.. it looks a lot different from this angle." Velvok says "Like I said: you will not be killed, nor will you be tortured. You will simply be a menial worker of our people." Human6 smiles. "Lovely." Velvok says "Do you understand your sentence?" Jones says "could you clarify that, Fvillha? will we serve your vessels or what?" Sivok walks up to the Fvillha, "What wuold you have me do with this?" Velvok says "Destroy it." Sivok laughs from his position. S'Dok cant help but let out a laugh Human6 looks at the hand. "Can I keep it as a souvenier?" Velvok says "You will serve in the civilian sector. We have many jobs in mind for you that befit your experience." Human6 says "You know.. a memento.." Sivok walks over to a spare table and places the hand on it, drawing his Rifle in to position. Human6 says "something that I can show the grandkids.." You yell "Silence!" Sivok changes the setting of his Rifle. Jones clears his throat "um, like what?" Human6 sighs and nods. "Aye." Sivok aims and fires at the hand. S'Dok takes aim at Human6. Human6 sniffs. "I had grown quite attached to that hand." Human6 sits down in silence. Velvok says "Very good." Velvok says "I do not have much time, so I will describe your next duties." Human6 nods. Jones sighs and listens S'Dok whispers something to Whatt. Sivok turns and looks towards the humans, a grin streaking his face, his hand stained with blood.
